A body believed to be that of 15-year-old Chloe’s has been found.

The body of a young woman has been found in the River Shannon, just yards from the home of missing Chloe Kinsella.

Chloe had been missing since Saturday, with hundreds of volunteers joining the Shannon based Coast Guard Helicopter, as well as the Limerick Marine Search and Rescue Service, in attempting to find her.

It is understood that searches for Chloe have been stood down since the body was recovered around midday.

A Garda spokesman said:

“The body was recovered at Brown’s Quay in the Thomondgate area of Co. Limerick and has been removed to Limerick University Hospital.”

The local coroner has been notified, with the body yet to have been identified. Gardai have sealed off the scene, near the St. John’s Castle area of the city, until further examinations are carried out.
