The Europa league may not be seen as important as the Champions League to many – but that doesn’t stop this match official from taking his job seriously.

I’ve heard of sport specific warm ups, but this really takes the biscuit. The linesman, in preparation for his potential moment in the sun, cranes his neck around repeatedly in a jolting fashion as though to warm up his neck muscles.

To make matters worse for the official, his comical warm up was caught on camera and then broadcast on TV, before being uploaded to youtube where it is sure to become a viral hit, having already received over 6,000 views.

The referee assistant was working as a 5th official behind the goal during the UEFA Cup clash between FC Twente and Helsingborg.
