The happiest Olympic worker goes viral

An Olympic volunteer has become a YouTube star after her unconventional approach to building excitement, ahead of the London 2012 opening ceremony. Muireann Coyne of The Daily Shift divulges all on the viral sensation

The worker, Rachel Onosanwo, 23, was supposed to be instructing the crowd around the Olympic Park but instead entertained passers-by with her sarcasm and dry humour. Sitting on a high chair and aimed with a megaphone she monotonously tells the crowd

I cannot contain my excitement everybody -  today is special day we are going to be telling our children’s, children’s, children’s, children’s, children about this day“.

The 4-minute video has been viewed over half a million times since being uploaded on Friday. Olly Gourley, the man who captured it all on camera tweeted that he had been listening to her for 3 hours and that the video was “just a snippet of her genius“.
